Hunting in Norway

Hunting in Møre og Romsdal

Red deer along the whole coast, moose in the valleys, and wild reindeer in Dovrefjell–Sunndalsfjella.

Møre og Romsdal is one of the major red deer counties. Deer are found from the outer islands to the innermost valleys, and moose are common in the inland valleys.

The eastern mountains belong to the Dovrefjell–Sunndalsfjella wild reindeer area and also offer good ptarmigan hunting. The terrain is often steep — think about safety and tracking before the shot.
