How it works
- Create a landowner accountSign in and choose “I am a landowner”. You do not need a hunting team.
- Draw your landPick your property in the cadastral map and the boundary is fetched from the Norwegian Mapping Authority — or draw it yourself. Add stands, trails and areas if you like.
- Create the listingTitle, description, game, hunting rules, periods and how many hunters. Choose whether the boundary is shown publicly.
- Answer requestsYou see the hunting team, the contact person and whether the hunters have declared their hunting fee and shooting test. Approve, and it becomes a written agreement.
- Follow the huntingThe report shows harvests, sightings and hunting days on your land, per tenant and season — without having to ask.
Price and payment for the rental
You agree price and payment for the rental directly with the hunting team. Veida is not a party to the rental agreement.
Periods, one year or multi-year
You can rent out hunting in set periods — the moose hunt in autumn, ptarmigan through the winter — and choose which game each period covers. Or you can rent out all the hunting rights, with all game belonging to the property, for one hunting year or on a multi-year lease.
Licensed hunting of large predators is opened by the regional predator board and cannot be rented out here.
What do hunters see?
Title, description, game, periods, area and municipality. The boundary is included if you choose — then team leaders see where the hunting is and can copy the outline to plan in their own team.
Stands, trails, notes and everything else you have added are only visible to teams you have approved. If you do not show the boundary, the land appears as a circle around its location.
The same tools as the hunting teams
The land you draw is the same map the tenant team hunts in. Once the rental is approved, the team gets your land in the app — with the boundary, stands and shooting sectors you have set out — for the agreed period.
The team can plan, add their own markers and record harvests, but not rebuild your land. When the agreement ends, access ends by itself.
The agreement
When you approve a request, Veida stores an agreement with the parties, the period, the number of hunters and the hunting rules as they stood in the listing. The team confirms, and both can print it.
The agreement is between you and the hunting team. Veida connects you and stores the text, but is not a party.
Questions and answers
Do I need to be in a hunting team?
No. A landowner account is separate. If you also hunt, the same account can be in a hunting team.
Can I rent out only part of the year?
Yes. A listing can have up to ten periods, for example the autumn moose hunt and small game through the winter.
Can I take the listing down?
Yes, at any time. A paused listing disappears from the portal, but agreements already made stand.
Who can ask to rent?
Leaders of a hunting team in Veida. You see the team, its member count and the contact person before replying, and you can write to each other in a separate thread.
What about my stands and sectors?
They are yours. They are only shown to teams you have approved, and a copy of the outline never includes what is inside the land.
