Hunting wild reindeer

Wild reindeer hunting takes place in the ten large wild reindeer areas of southern Norway, from Setesdal and Hardangervidda to Rondane, Snøhetta and Forollhogna. Cards are allocated, often by application and draw.

This is the longest hunt in the country measured in time per animal: you walk and glass for days, and the weather on the plateau decides as much as the animals do.
