Moose hunting is what most Norwegian teams organise themselves around. It is driven with beaters and standers, or with a baying dog, and the ground is rented for the whole season or a week at a time.
Moose live in forest across most of the country, apart from the highest mountains and the outer coast. The licence is for a set number of animals in each category, and it follows the ground, not the hunter.
