Hare hunting is small game hunting with hounds, usually beagles or Norwegian hounds, in forest and low mountain across the country. It is often rented on the same card as forest birds.
A hare hunt is as much about the chase as the shot: the hound drives the hare in a circle back towards where it started, and the hunter stands still and waits for the baying to come closer.
