A good agreement saves both the landowner and the hunting team from arguments.
What the agreement should say
Who the parties are, which area it covers (preferably with a map), the period, which game and how many hunters, rules for dogs, driving and cabins, the price, and who applies for harvest permits and reports.
Write down what you agree on. What is only said is remembered differently.
For the landowner
In Norway the hunting rights belong to the land and can be rented out. Knowing what is harvested and seen on the land makes it easier to manage — and to rent it out again next year.
In Veida
Landowners can list their land on the rental map with an approximate location, and hunting teams can ask to rent. When the landowner approves, the agreement is stored as it stood, the team gets access to the land for the period, and the landowner gets a report that writes itself.
